North Tyneside Council is now processing discretionary grants for local businesses.
Applications are now open for the North Tyneside Discretionary Grants Fund.
More than £1.6m is available to eligible businesses which do not qualify for the Small Business Grant or the Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant. Qualifying businesses must have relatively high, ongoing property costs and be able to demonstrate that they have suffered a significant fall in income due to the Covid-19 crisis.
Government guidance gives the council discretion over the grant scheme and its decisions regarding the scheme will be final.
