The wider park is open all day, every day of year.
Centre grounds: Open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday; and 9.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Car Park: Open from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday; and 9.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Please note: A limited part of the play area is open, please follow the guidance on the signs with a maximum of 5 people in the play area at a time. The water feature is currently closed.
The café is open for takeaway drinks and snacks, with outdoor seating on the terrace from 9am to .4.30pm Monday to Friday and 10.30am to 3.30pm weekends and bank holidays.
Please observe the one way system into the centre and follow the social distancing signs. There are toilet facilities accessible from the foyer. When leaving, please exit via the rear door and walk around to the front of the building, following the signs.
The Rising Sun Country Park is a green oasis of 162 hectares, set in the heart of North Tyneside.

Boasting a nature reserve with ponds, woodlands and extensive grasslands; a farm and Countryside Centre, the site is a haven for wildlife and an ideal place to relax and enjoy the great outdoors.
Admission is free. Parking and disabled parking is provided within the grounds (or in the neighbouring ASDA Benton car park).
You can even hire one of our function rooms or outdoor areas for your own event!

The Country Park actively promotes healthy living and provides a resource for outdoor activities, healthy home-cooked food and encourages sustainable practices.
The park is managed in partnership by North Tyneside Council and the Rising Sun Farm Trust.
